This piece confirms what Jeff and I discussed in an earlier post regarding the value of education. It appears to me this also confirms that not everyone should attend college.
More evidence for my hypothesis that there isn't a general education bubble, but rather that people make bad choices: http://marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolution/2011/11/college-has-been-oversold.html
I found the data. I need to think of how to look at this problem theoretically. In other words, what is the capitalized asset? Basically, I think people are arguing that the expenses are too high and calling that a bubble. But that's not what it means.
Might be necessary to look at health care companies' stock prices....

ReplyDeleteYou were going to post something about a possible price bubble in healthcare ~ insurance premiums. Looking forward to that!
ReplyDeleteStill working on it. That might have to be more theoretical than anything; I can't source good data as yet.
ReplyDeleteAnything I can help you research?
